When Did Feeling Okay Become So Hard?

If you’re carrying the weight of trauma, we see you, and we know how heavy it can feel.

The pain, fear, or anger might replay in your mind, holding you in a grip that feels relentless - looping thoughts, restless nights, or a body that aches with tension and fatigue.

Trauma and trauma’s lingering wounds can make even the simplest days feel overwhelming, and sometimes it seeps into the connections with those you love most, creating distance where you long for closeness.

You’re not alone in this. Your experience with trauma is real, and the pain you feel is not a sign of weakness. It’s a sign of your strength in surviving.

Counseling can be a gentle, guiding light, offering you a safety to process, heal, and rediscover hope.

Therapy can help you find ease in your mind and body, reclaim control over your emotions, and respond to life with newfound confidence.

You deserve to feel safe, to feel whole, and to nurture the relationships that matter most. With support, you can move toward a future where the weight feels lighter, and you can embrace the warmth and joy of living fully again.

Here’s How It Works

The number one filled with colorful garden flowers.

The first thing we do is like a big check-up chat. We talk about everything going on in your life: your body (like if you're tired or sick), your feelings (are you sad, mad, or scared?), and your world (stuff at home, school, or with friends). It's like making a treasure map of what's bugging you. No judgments - just figuring out the whole picture so we know exactly where to start helping. This takes a little time, but it makes everything else way easier. We’ll also discuss which treatment method is best for you: EMDR, CPT, or TF-CBT.

Preparation

Okay, now that we know what's up, let's start by taking stock of how your trauma experience has affected you. We will take some time to ready your heart and mind to process the experiences that so haunt you now.

The Healing Part

Next, we dive into your brain's sneaky thoughts. The thoughts that make problems seem huge and unsolvable. We look for how your thoughts and emotions create a doom-loop where each one feeds off of the other until you feel out of control. We’ll help you stop the cycle, regain control, and upgrade your inner world to work for you and not against you.

Real Life Tests

Finally, time for fun action! As you upgrade your inner world, your mind needs to align your actions to close the loop. You’ll want your thoughts, emotions, and actions to all point towards this new, healthy direction. So, we test those new, positive thoughts in real life, like test-driving a new car on a familiar road. You prove to yourself that you're not living in fantasy land. Rather, you’re more grounded than ever.

You’re Not Alone In This

You’re human, and you’ve been through some stuff that left a mark. Some lived experience is your brain and body trying to make sense of something that was too much to carry alone. But you don’t have to carry it by yourself anymore.
